When direct download is slow: save snipe-os-26.04-amd-64-b-26_archive.torrent, open it in a BitTorrent client (Transmission, qBittorrent, or similar), and let it fetch SnipeOS-26.04-amd64-b26.iso. Archive.org torrents use their webseed mirrors, so the client should pull from both peers and Archive HTTP (often faster than a single browser download).

After SnipeOS is installed, Transmission is already on the menu for large downloads. On Windows before install, any client that supports webseeding works.

The image is large enough that a single-layer DVD will not fit it. Use a dual-layer DVD if you prefer optical media, or use a USB stick (8 GB or larger recommended).

Write to USB with Rufus

On Windows, the straightforward path is Rufus. Download the portable or standard build, select your USB drive, pick the SnipeOS ISO, and write it. No installer is required for Rufus itself.

After the stick is written, boot from USB, try the live desktop, then run Install SnipeOS when you are ready. See the install guide for the Calamares flow and the normal long pause near 6 percent.
